Qualified approved coaching staff

At Planet Sport we understand that the standard of educational staff in schools needs to be of an exceptionally high quality, this is vital in order to promote learning through sport and to adhere to the schools policies and structure. We ensure that when we select sports tutors for these curriculum roles, they meet the highest standards and fulfill our strict criteria.

In addition to these standards all of our staff hold nationally recognised sports qualifications and receive regular and on-going training, to ensure children get the most up-to-date tutoring and education.

All of our staff are qualified first-aiders and are instructed to comply with all school policies regarding Health and Safety and behaviour management.

Planet Sport holds a valid ‘Enhanced’ Disclosure Certificate from the Criminals Records Bureau (CRB) for all coaching staff – to offer peace of mind to teachers and parents alike.

Planning and implementation

Planet Sport staff are able to take control of planning, assessment and implementation of all games sessions to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. We will also ensure that the children have a safe, fun and enjoyable experience during their games/physical education sessions.

Assessment and evaluation

Planet Sport can assist in writing progress reports for each child in relation to their games/physical education. Planet Sport will adhere to school policies regarding behaviour, discipline and reward systems.

Development

The Planet Sport tutor will ensure that all children are actively engaged with sport through a variety of techniques. Planet Sport believes in a ‘Sport for All’ ethos and with the correct guidance and support our tutors will aim to increase the sporting ability of each child.

Planet Sport also provide Extra Curriculum Activities for Year R through to Year 6 to further develop sporting ability throughout the school, this can be managed through the school as a funding source or can be managed by Planet Sport.
