Planet Sport are looking for the next generation of Coaches

Planet sport is offering this unique coaching course for aspiring
sports coaches between the ages 14 - 16 years old (School Years 10 & 11).
Students need no formal entry qualifications, however the following are expected:

• Interest and understanding of a variety of sports
• Basic level of fitness
• A willingness to learn and work
• Enjoy working in a team

This course has been designed for students aspiring to become sports coaches. Rather than just opting for a week of Work Experience with Planet Sport, students may attend this course and receive a structured learning programme. Students will gain a wide variety of sports based knowledge; as well as building confidence and maturity through leadership. Students will take charge and instruct others in a professional manner. This course is ideal for any student who is interested in working within sports coaching, both for children and adults.

• Enjoy working in a team

The Introduction into becoming a sports coach programme is a 4 day intensive course that will cover:

• Insight into coaching company 'Planet Sport'
• What makes a good sports coach
• The role of a sports coach
• How to structure and deliver coaching sessions
• Coaching Pathways

The course will be delivered through theory and practical based sessions
We are also including in this course

• Emergency First Aid (valid for 3 years) recognised qualification
• Opportunity for paid work with Planet Sport for successful students.
