Greg Sayer
Coach Biography
Greg Sayer joined the Planet Sport team as a self employed coach in 2008, since then he has achieved success in becoming an Area Coordinator and was then promoted to be the Operations Manager. He studied at Buckinghamshire University gaining a BA (Hons) in Leisure Management with application to Sport.Greg’s role as Operations Manager is to ensure the company continues to grow from strength to strength and maintain its high standards of coaching practices, he visits schools and clubs to assess coaches performances and work alongside Head Teachers. Greg is working very closely with David Gott, a very highly decorated PE Inspector for Hampshire and surrounding regions, David is joining Planet Sport as a PE Advisor and Trainer in which Greg will help our new and existing coach develop their knowledge of PE from an Ofsted point of view.
Greg has a wealth of experience in coaching various sports to all ages and his qualifications include FA Level 1, FA AOTTs in PE and Football, Level 1 + 2 in Primary Athletics, Level 1 + 2 in Gymnastics, Tag Rugby, Racket Games, Fundamentals/Early years PE, Basketball, Rounder’s and Tri Golf. Through these qualifications and dedication in learning from qualified teachers he has seen how coaching children the fundamentals of sport can change their lives and he really enjoys seeing the progression of each child he coaches and their reaction when they achieve their goal, whether it is in that lesson or over the course of a term.
Greg has 2 children and is very much a family man and this can be seen through his coaching style and his attention to detail. Greg is also REPS Qualified to Advanced Level 3 within the fitness industry, enabling him to enjoy Teaching Fitness Classes, including Spinning and Pump FX, he also Personal Trains adults. He has a great passion for motor sport, especially F1, supporting Jenson Button in his challenge to become world champion again in 2010.
One of Greg’s biggest achievements was to complete the London Marathon for charity in 2010 and he is hoping to run again in 2011.
